The right chef for the job

Our yhangry chefs enjoy cooking dynamic dishes and interacting with people. Your chef will be assigned to you based on date availability as well as our chefs’ expertise. In short, a host like you has already raved about the chef.

Highly skilled and trained

Our chefs come from a wide array of backgrounds, from culinary school to some of London’s finest restaurants. They join yhangry with excellent chops, and then we ensure they are properly trained with each menu to ensure consistently high-quality and delicious food.

Exciting menu development

Inspired by the seasons and holidays, we work with our chefs to keep our menu fresh and exciting. We always offer a delicious vegan option, and will always suggest variations for different dietary needs.

CHEF CHECKLIST

Covid Safety

The safety of our community is our utmost concern. Every chef completes a Covid accreditation course when they join yhangry, and we verify their hygiene certification and training. Our chefs carry required PPE (masks and gloves) and will keep an adequate distance from the hosts and guests.

Cleanup

Our chefs work clean, and they’ll wash up all the pots and pans they’ve used whilst cooking your meal. For an additional fee, the chef can also stay to wash up all the plates, flatware, glasses and serving dishes after the meal so you can stay with your friends. (No one ever really wants to “do it tomorrow.”)

Food Safety

It’s imperative that our food is not only delicious but also safe. We verify every chef’s food safety training to ensure safe handling of food and tools.

Vetted & Verified

Each yhangry chef goes through a robust vetting process, during which they are trialled and vetted in-person by our team. We review their CV and hygiene certificate, we check their DBS (or apply for one on their behalf), and we run a trial meal in person, during which we taste two delicious dishes made and presented by the chef. After hiring, every chef’s onboarding includes a review of our chef charter so they can consistently deliver the delightfully delicious yhangry experience.
